This will be a sister act! I'll be doing this outdoor show with my sister, Joanne Hanson. She started painting Colorado landscapes a few years ago and is selling like hot cakes. You'll find us on the lawn of the Riverwalk Plaza in Breckenridge. Mention that you saw this on my website and I'll give you a 10% discount. A group of artists will be painting on location on lands preserved by the Continental Divide Land Trust. The work will be sold at the Friends-of-Open-Space reception on the evening of August 15, 2008, Silverthorne Pavilion. This classy one-day event is set in southern Colorado with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as a backdrop. The event includes a silent auction with pieces the artists painted on location the day before. One of my all-time favorite shows, this is one of the largest of its kind . This show funds educational programs, Chesapeake restoration and a multitude of other environmental projects. The show is staffed by volunteers from the town of Easton. I usually bring 35+ originals plus prints to the Waterfowl Festival where I exhibit at the Elks Gallery. The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition is held in downtown Charleston, one of my favorite cities. In addition to world-class art, SEWE offers education animals shows, conservation exhibits and much more. Jack Hanna will give a presentation on Friday and Saturday.
